In peak season, the harbour will be crowded with various pleasure crafts hurrying to and from Faaborg. If you would like a more calm and peaceful trip to the harbour, it is a good idea to alter your course a little to starboard, thus getting closer to land and sailing along the coast towards Faaborg. The first houses to appear are private homes with attached beach lots, after which you will be able to see the Danland Faaborg hotel. Below the hotel is a public beach with bathing jetties and a diving platform. To the left of the beach is the Klinteparken park, where you will find the still active Helligkors Kilde (Wellspring of the Holy Cross). In the 16th and 17th centuries, there was a small chapel – probably operated by monks from the Order of the Holy Ghost monastery in Faaborg – next to the holy spring.
