A great beach close to the city

Located in the northeastern part of Horsens, in the Stensballe district, Husodde Beach sits along the shores of Horsens Fjord. From the beach, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the fjord, the nearby islands, and the city skyline. It’s a popular destination for both locals and visitors whenever the sun makes an appearance.

The beach features fine white sand and calm, shallow water, making it ideal for swimming. In summer, a bathing jetty invites both crab-catching kids and enthusiastic swimmers to enjoy the water.

A Blue Flag Beach with Excellent Facilities

Husodde Beach holds the Blue Flag certification—the only one in Horsens Fjord. This prestigious eco-label ensures high standards in water quality, safety, environmental protection, and visitor amenities.

You’ll find information boards, rescue equipment, and picnic tables where you can enjoy a meal with a view. The area also includes accessible restrooms and other disability-friendly features, and a spacious parking lot just a short walk from the sand.

A Hit with the Kids

Husodde Beach is particularly well-suited for families with young children. The shallow water, grassy wind-sheltered picnic areas, and playground right by the beach make it easy to relax while the kids play.

The beach kiosk serves refreshing ice cream, and the medieval-themed mini golf course offers entertainment for all ages. Kids can also try their luck catching crabs along the stone edge—just bring a bucket!
