On a walk at Furs moler cliffs, 5.5 km
Lille Knudshoved and Store Knudshoved are the most impressive moler cliffs on Fur.
The moler cliffs on the north coast of the island of Fur are up to 30 m high and have alternating layers of moler and volcanic ashes. Some of the layers are vertical, while others are folded.
The entire area at Knudeklint is protected and on the beach there is an opportunity to discover and find fossils. The moler slopes on Fur are candidates for inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
