Kastrup Gl. Havn

Kastrup Old Harbor

Unfortunately, guest mooring is not possible in the old harbor.

History

Back in 1936, the first plans were made to establish a marina at Thyges Bro in Maglebylille. The area was taken over by the state in 1944, and the plans to build the harbor fell through. Subsequently, the municipality tried to make the project succeed in various other locations, but the plans fell apart one by one.

For many years, frustration was high both in the municipal council and among sailors, who lacked a proper place to stay.

In 1953, a plan to construct the marina was finally approved by the state—17 years after the original idea. In 1954, the marina was finally inaugurated at its current location.
