Ejerslev Harbour – A historical gem on Mors
Ejerslev Harbour was originally established between 1911 and 1914 by Frederiksholm Kalk og Teglværker to support the shipping of marl, which had been exported under primitive conditions since 1903. Over time, the harbour was expanded with the construction of a high bridge and navigation channel to facilitate the loading of ships. Despite challenges such as siltation and storm damage, the harbour was continuously improved with Norwegian granite, ensuring its durability.
After a period of decline, during which marl shipping ceased, Morsø Municipality took over the harbour in 2005. Since then, the harbour has been thoroughly restored with new quays, improved access conditions, and modern facilities, reviving Ejerslev Harbour as an attractive maritime hub.
