Welcome to Aabenraa Sailing Club
The beautiful Aabenraa Fjord is located at the southwestern end of the Little Belt and deep inside is Aabenraa Sailing Club. The sailing club is the perfect sailing destination, as the fjord's protective nature offers calm waters. Aabenraa Sailing Club has room for 330 boats. The harbour is buzzing with life and a good atmosphere, and guests are more than welcome.
Aabenraa Sailing Club - in the centre of an attractive city and attractions
Aabenraa has a long pedestrian street with cozy cafés, lovely restaurants and interesting shops as well as a wide range of cultural offerings.
The long maritime tradition is quickly spotted, and the maritime museum is definitely worth a visit. For art enthusiasts, the art museum Brundlund Castle is the right place. The nearby forest with many hiking routes offers ideal surroundings for pleasant and quiet walks or bike rides.
Good port facilities
Aabenraa Sailing Club welcomes sailors with floating bridges with water and electricity, cozy barbecue areas, an inviting harbor promenade, a tug for smaller boats, marine equipment, sailmakers and a nice motorhome site, etc. Please note that it is not possible to reserve a place prior to arrival at the port. This applies to both visiting sailors and motorhomes.
At the harbor you will find Restaurant Kræs & Krusninger, which invites you to delicious food that can satisfy both adults and children. You can do your provisions in the nearby grocery store, just 150 meters from the harbor.
From small fishing village to large maritime town
Aabenraa has a long maritime history. The town quickly developed from a small fishing village to a large, thriving maritime town in the 1700s. Shipbuilding was established here, and the ships went on voyages to e.g. The Baltic Sea cities and England. Today, the interest in the maritime is still at the forefront and many well-known and successful sailors have used and still use the optimal sailing opportunities around Aabenraa.
