About the harbor
Well-protected fishing and pleasure craft harbour.
Boats registered in the harhour have right of priority. May be entered during the day in bright, clear visibility, but not during onshore winds. Compass variation occurs, and strong current coupled with bad visibility can be dangerous. The harbour's leading light must be turned in order to enter at night. This happens omly when the local fishermen are at sea. Svaneke Lighthouse will guide boats in during approach. Note that the wind is often more brisk on the leeside of Bornholm than on the weather side. The harbour entrance is narrow and winding.
