With Kronborg Castle as a neighbor and the Swedish coastline as a backdrop, you won’t find a harbor with a more spectacular location. When you add our excellent service, harbor facilities, bathing beaches, and the many opportunities for experiences, the stage is set for a fantastic stay for both children and adults.

There’s always space for your boat with us

Helsingør North Harbour is one of Denmark’s largest marinas, and you can always find space here.
The green signs show available guest spaces and their width. We don’t have dedicated guest spots, but large boats can often find space at the end of the piers. Smaller boats can usually find space on the northwest side of pier 2, but there are spots throughout the harbor that fit most smaller boats. However, please don’t take a spot that is larger than what you need.

Payment, harbor office, and facilities

The harbor office is located at Midtermolen on Nordhavnsvej 13.
Currently, we have two different harbor payment solutions depending on where you are located in the harbor. If you are on pier 2-8 or pier 17-25, you need to use the digital harbor payment solution TallyWeb from your phone to purchase overnight stays and access to facilities. If you are on pier 9-15, you buy overnight stays and pay for facilities at the Tallycard machine at the harbor office. You can also pay in cash or with MobilePay at the harbor office during opening hours.
The harbor offers several services, such as a slipway, mast crane, fuel sales, and workshop/repair options with the harbor’s maritime businesses. We also have a large boat equipment store.
There is no Wi-Fi at the harbor, but if you don’t want to use your own data, you can use two computers in the harbor office lobby for free.

Shopping and groceries

At the harbor, you can buy freshly baked bread, ice cream, coffee, and food at the harbor’s cafes and restaurants. We also have a provision store with common groceries. The nearest supermarket is Kvickly on Stjernegade. Føtex is located in the City Center at Stürups Plads, and Coop365 is at Helsingør Station.

Only 5-10 minutes’ walk from the harbor is the city center, with everything you could want in terms of shops and restaurants. Also, visit the Shipyard Food Market for delicious street food in the old shipyard halls.

Harbor enjoyment for all ages

In North Harbor, there are plenty of cozy spots and activity opportunities. In the summer, we offer a small but good selection of ice cream parlors, cafes, and stores. In the maritime shops, you’ll find a wide selection of boat equipment, and you can have your boat, sails, and equipment repaired.

Activities for children

Children can burn off energy at the harbor playground and the free bouncing pillow, which is available at Midtermolen during the summer. Another unique attraction at the harbor is the large outdoor aquarium "Water Laboratory." Here, you can look down into the fish life of the Øresund from the piers. You can catch a crab and see the large flatfish hiding on the sandy bottom. During the season, there is nature interpretation at the tank, where the Øresund Aquarium guides feed the fish and tell you more about the animals and fish in the Øresund.
Greenhaven Beach is just west of the harbor and has shallow, child-friendly water and a large beach playground. At Sønder Mole, we have a swimming pier where you can jump straight into the Øresund without getting sand on your feet.

What to do when it rains?

The Øresund Aquarium is located right in the middle of the harbor, and it’s a cozy little museum to visit, rain or shine. Kronborg Castle, the Maritime Museum, and the Culture Yard are also fantastic places to spend a rainy day, and the town also has many smaller specialty museums.

A trip in the national park

The harbor is located in the national park "The Kings of North Zealand," which offers many great excursion destinations. Esrum Abbey and Nyruphus are excellent options for a family outing. For a unique art experience, visit the Rudolf Tegner Museum with its outdoor sculptures in the beautiful landscape.
