Welcome to Bakkerne Harbour

A small private harbour with active commercial fishing and a water depth of only 1 meter. The harbour is usually filled with local boats, but on nice days, a few smaller boats can visit this small fishing settlement, which includes an active herring smokehouse.

300 meters east of the harbour, Øle Å flows into the sea. Following the stream 300 meters inland, you will encounter a very interesting area featuring the island's largest freshwater fish farm for sea trout, a beautiful water mill, and nearby, the point at 55 degrees north/15 degrees east marked by a granite block—where your watch will be correct relative to world time zones.
