WELCOME TO MARIAGER SAILING CLUB
Mariager Marina is centrally located in the middle of Denmark's most beautiful fjord – Mariager Fjord. A gem with a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The sailing club is full of life and has plenty of room for many guests.
Mariager Marina includes the old harbor, owned by the Mariagerfjord Municipality, and the new one owned by the Mariager Sailing Club. The club has about 110 permanent boat berths and about 20 guest berths. The permanent berths can also be used when the sign is turned to green. The municipal harbor is slightly smaller, but the quay in the old harbor can accommodate larger sailing ships. We also have space for 7 motorhomes, 5 of which are located by the entrance and 2 right next to the clubhouse.
GREAT FACILITIES AT THE MARINA
The sailing club offers many facilities such as a kitchen for free use, toilets and showers, a communal grill, a playground, terraces, a floating dock for crab fishing, and green areas with picnic tables and benches, all with a lovely view over the fjord. In the clubhouse, you’ll also find a washing machine and a dryer.
PROVISIONING
If you need to stock up, SuperBrugsen is located right across from the marina. SuperBrugsen also has a GLS shop. Nearby, you will find the bookstore, which also serves as a post office (PostNord). At Mariagerhallen, there is a Nærboks PostNord. About 1 km from the marina, you’ll find Rema.
SIGHTS
The sailing club is located in the heart of the charming town of Mariager, which, with its cobbled streets and historic houses, is well worth a visit. The town offers many cultural experiences, such as the large beautiful white Abbey Church, the Abbey from the 15th century, the Abbey Garden, Mariager Museum, the Rose Garden, and Hohøj – Scandinavia's largest Bronze Age burial mound.
Additionally, you can take a dip in the warm salt bath at the Salt Center or visit the salt master in the Boiling Hut. Learn more here: Mariager Saltcenter - Forside
HIKING ROUTES
Mariager also offers several beautiful, challenging, and marked hiking trails along the fjord, in the town, or in the forest, with routes of 5 km and 11 km. Learn more here: Mariager Rundt, hiking route of 11 km (destinationhimmerland.dk)
