Ebeltoft Traffic and Marina Harbour (Blue Flag Harbour)
Owned by Syddjurs Municipality, the harbour consists of two separate basins: one for recreational boats with guest berths, and a small, charming fishing harbour with a typical maritime environment.
Situated in the exceptionally beautiful surroundings of the Mols Bjerge National Park and right in the heart of Ebeltoft with its quaint half-timbered houses, cobblestone streets, and blooming hollyhocks, a visit to the harbour is truly special. The old market town offers many attractions, including the Old Town Hall, Farvergården, the frigate Jylland, and the Glass Museum, all within walking distance from the harbour.
The old, charming fishing harbour stubbornly continues to operate as a fishing port. Unlike most other places, it has not been developed into a marina for recreational boats. Here, you can experience a unique atmosphere with fishing cutters, fishermen, fish huts, houses, and fishing nets in a cozy setting.
At the harbour, you can buy fresh and smoked fish, visit the harbour’s cafés and restaurants, explore the harbour’s galleries and working glass workshops, browse the specialty shops, or enjoy the sunset from the pier.
The traffic and marina harbour features a concrete pier for larger vessels up to 45 meters in length, 10 meters in width, and with a draft of 4.3 meters. The west-facing pier is reserved for guests and accommodates larger boats up to 50 feet in length, 4.5 meters in width, and with a draft of 3 meters. Additionally, there are two floating pontoons to the east.
Navigation
If you choose to dock here, it is recommended to steer 92° from the port marker that indicates the north side of Sandhagen until you reach the port and starboard markers that mark the dredged channel to the Traffic and Marina Harbour. This entry line is marked with a green light line, with the light positioned on the bastion in the middle of the dock pier south of the frigate Jylland.
