Welcome to Aalbæk Harbour

You can enter Aalbæk Harbour day and night. The harbour is home to approximately 125 pleasure crafts and 15 commercial fishing vessels. There are several good reasons to explore Aalbæk. You can enjoy relaxing walks through the woods and dunes, and a secluded beach right next to the harbour with kilometres of clean sandy Blue Flag beaches stretching both north and south. Here, we guarantee that you get a good night's sleep.

Please note the soundings

The port aims to maintain a depth of 3.5 metres in the entrance at mean sea level. The depth in the northern part of the harbour basin is between 2.3 m and 2.6 m at main sea level. 

Regarding sea level: The difference between mean high tide and mean low tide is 0.6 m. W-SW winds can cause high tides of up to 1 m, whilst E-SE winds can cause low tides of up to 0.6 m.

Due to sand movement in the area, this depth cannot always be guaranteed. Please contact the harbour master’s office for information on current soundings in the entrance and in the harbour basin. 

Great harbour facilities

Electricity, water, etc. are included in the harbour fee (see pricing guide). There is also a kitchen and lounge area with room for around 40 visitors, and plans are underway to erect a marquee over the outside terrace area. There are several small barbecue areas on the site.

The harbour offers a wide range of facilities for sailors, including clean toilets with showers, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. You can do your shopping at Aalbæk town centre, just a 10-minute walk from the harbour. Aalbæk Harbour is just 20 km south of Skagen town centre. Sailors are very enthusiastic about this charming harbour, which serves as a base for both commercial and recreational fishing. All this gives Aalbæk Harbour a sense of authenticity that is a rarity these days.

There is a playground at the harbour and excellent restaurants at the harbour in the nearby town.

Take an 18-minute train ride to Skagen

You can bring bikes on board the train free of charge if you use a Rejsekort (travel card). Trains run regularly until late at night. The train stops near the well-known golf courses at Hvide Klit, a 5-minute drive from Ålbæk station.

Motorhome site

There is a large area for motorhomes, with views across Aalbæk Bay. There is also a pump-out station for motorhomes.
