Go amber hunting by the North Sea
After a good storm, the Danish West Coast is a true paradise for amber collectors. The amber loosens from the sea floor during the storm, and in the subsequent calm weather it is carried by the sea ashore. Here you can find it among seaweed, stone and wreckage.
Watch for the tide, as the best time to find amber is when the water is falling - that is, on the way away from the beach.
