Ejerslev Harbour is one of those places on Mors where nature and history merge in a way you don't quite forget.
Here the harbour sits beautifully framed by moler cliffs and the calm waters of the Limfjord, and the atmosphere is at once peaceful and alive. It is a natural harbour with character – and with a history that can still be felt.
The harbour was established between 1911 and 1914 as a shipping harbour for the moler industry and remained in operation until 1971. Today the area has been transformed into a natural gathering point for locals and visitors alike.
Following a comprehensive renovation, Ejerslev Havn presents itself as a welcoming and modern marina where you feel at home from the very first moment.
The harbour is still home to local fishermen who head out for herring, eel and lobster, among other catches – a reminder that the fjord is still very much alive. At the same time, good facilities including a kitchen, showers, electricity and water make for a comfortable stay.
The facilities can be used by sailors, motorhome travellers, cyclists and canoe tourists (for a fee). The barbecues are ready to use, and everyone is welcome – as long as you leave the place as you would wish to find it.
Ejerslev Harbour is an ideal stop for hikers, cyclists and sailors seeking the particular calm and authenticity the place has to offer. From the pier there are good opportunities for trout fishing, and from the cliffs the adventurous can try their hand at paragliding.
If you bring binoculars, there is a good chance of spotting seals resting on the sandbank at Ejerslev Røn.
