Kignæs Haarbour
A cozy harbor set in beautiful nature.
Short distance to Jægerspris Castle with Countess Danner’s grave, and a good walk to the 1,000-year-old oaks in Nordskoven: Kongeegen, Storkeegen, and Snogegen.
Right by the harbor is Færgelunden, a lovely hilly beech forest stretching down to the fjord waters. Other attractions include a windmill from the time of King Christian IV, first built around 1415, with the current mill dating from 1854. Churches with frescoes and the local museum at Færgegården near Kronprins Frederik’s Bridge (built 1868).
The town has a tourist information center at the famous Jægerspris ice cream shop and shopping options at SuperBrugsen, Netto, Fakta, and Aldi.
The harbor provides bicycles for guest use.
