Handbjerg Marina
About the harbor
Handbjerg Marina is a new yacht harbor in Venø Bay.
The marina was inaugurated on May 17, 2014. Its planning had been underway for about 10 years. On April 27, 2013, the first groundbreaking took place, and the first boats were able to enter the harbor in autumn 2013, although the piers were not yet established. The piers were completed in early spring 2014.
The majority of the marina was built with the help of volunteers.
Today, the marina serves as a gathering place for locals, holiday home guests, and motorhome visitors. The harbor features Café Isbåden, a small café serving ice cream, coffee, sausages, and arguably Denmark’s best soft ice cream. Restaurant Pavillonen is the newest dining spot in the area. It opened with a new operator in 2015 and has already become a huge success.
