Peter’s Christmas with Captain Cleveland

In the special exhibition Peter’s Christmas with Captain Cleveland, visitors can discover the story of a very different kind of Christmas during an expedition more than 100 years ago.

The story adds a special festive perspective to the history of Knud Rasmussen and his expeditions, offering visitors a new way to experience the house.

Christmas experiences for the whole family

Knud Rasmussen’s House is decorated for Christmas, and the winter atmosphere can be enjoyed throughout its different rooms. A light installation by the wood-burning stove and fireplaces adds to the atmosphere as the winter darkness falls.

Families can also get creative together by painting a Christmas card and writing a festive greeting.

Fun for children

Children can search for Christmas elves hiding around Knud Rasmussen’s House. The elf hunt gives younger visitors a fun way to explore the historic house.

Christmas tour with your baby

Knud Rasmussen’s House also invites parents on parental leave to a special Christmas tour. The tour takes place at the babies’ pace and is part of the Med baby på museum (Museum with Baby) project.
